Dr. Ravi S Iyer

Dr. Ravi Iyer is a technocrat with over 30 years of experience (post PhD) in designing, developing, and operating large-scale and complex products, and managing businesses that leverage technologies such as IoT, distributed systems, Artificial Intelligence, and autonomous vehicles such as drones, for operational efficiencies and resilience, resulting in both top line and bottom line growth. He was recently the CEO of the Accenture Centre of Excellence at IIT Madras. He has had long stints with global giants such as Siemens, Motorola and Conexant in India and abroad.

He has extensive experience in leading product development and management teams across four continents, multiple markets, and sectors (telecom, transportation, healthcare, and fintech).

He has served in leadership positions, managed revenue streams in excess of USD 100 mn and created award-winning products such as the TMC Magazine’s Internet Telephony Product of the Year in 2002. He has founded four and advised/mentored over 30 start-ups.

He is the inventor of PoMA (Proof-of-Match Adaptive), a fast, fair, and quantum-resistant leader-election mechanism for high-speed blockchains. He is also the inventor of a trust model to realize a high-speed consensus mechanism that is Byzantine Fault-tolerant and has an extremely low executable footprint.
