UPES offers different specialisations for MCA courses catering to a wide range of subjects in the technical and financial domains. The duration of all the specialisations is three years or six semesters.

Here are the details of each MCA course specialisation.

MCA Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The course gives students a broad understanding of the concepts of Artificial Intelligence like Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Processes. Students will also learn about the applications of these concepts in real-world situations such as Natural Language Processing, Robotics, or Computer Vision.

MCA Internet of Things 

The MCA Internet of Things course allows students to become a part of the rapidly evolving and highly rewarding IoT industry.

The course focuses on core computer and IT subjects such as SQL fundamentals, programming and data structures, computer languages such as JAVA and Python, and UNIX and Linux essentials. The USP of the course is the IoT electives that provide a practical experience of the industry.

Yes. All students with a minimum aggregate of 50% in their BCA degree with relevant specialisation are eligible to apply for an MCA Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course at UPES.

The Master of Computer Application or MCA is a two-year professional post-graduate program under School of Computer Science.

50% in 10th, 12th and 50% in graduation in relevant subject

For the admission process, students are required to submit the following documents:

- Aadhaar Card Number at the time of registration
- Permanent Account Number (all students and parent)
- Student academic record/personal records, which will be verified at the time of admission through the original documents

Note: Students will only submit the self-attested copy of required document for admission. Students are not supposed to submit any original document.

There are academic scholarships for meritorious students; domicile scholarships for bonafide Uttarakhand students; freeships under Project ‘Jyoti’ for students from economically weaker sections; and sports scholarships under Project ‘Vijay’.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the program must Apply Online or offline at admission office by paying the application form fee of Rs. 1350/-.

UPES provides placement assistance to all enrolled students subject to their fulfilling eligibility conditions as prescribed in UPES Placement Regulations. However, the obligation of the University will be only to provide placement assistance and not placement guarantee.

Yes, the hostel facility is provided by the University. Residential blocks have been earmarked for limited on-campus accommodation (on a first-come, first-served basis), separately for boys and girls on a triple-sharing basis. Students wishing to avail hostel facility (on-campus) will need to deposit the fee in advance.

The fee indicated below is for the academic session 2023-24 only and is on triple sharing basis

Fee:

Rs. 1,65,000/- Regular hostel for boys and girls at Bidholi and Kandoli campuses.

In addition to the hostel fee, an interest-free refundable security fee of Rs. 10,000/- will be taken at the time of registration.

Note: Students who wish to avail of the campus hostel facility should submit the following documents along with the requisite hostel fee without fail:

- Medical Certificate*
- Police Verification Report* (from their respective city/town)
