Dr. Pallabi Sharma received her PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, India, in 2023. Her research focuses on developing efficient machine learning-based framework for medical image analysis for the healthcare system.
Dr. Pallabi Sharma joined UPES in February 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science.
Her research interests include Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Biomedical Imaging, Image Segmentation, Data Mining, Object Localization, Computer Aided Diseases Detection.
As an engineering professor, her teaching philosophy focuses on making learning inclusive and engaging for students. She encourages active participation and critical thinking by connecting theoretical concepts to real-world engineering applications. By embracing technology, she aims to inspire a passion for learning and foster ethical, responsible engineers.

She was awarded as the Winner of TIDE 2.0 IDEATHON organized by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) Startup Hub in 2021.
She has authored/co-authored 13 publications in reputed conferences/workshops, journals, and book chapters. Additionally, during her PhD tenure, she assisted more than 10 B.Tech and M.Tech students with their projects and helped them to start research in real-world applications.
