Dr. Jerry W. Sangma

Jerry W. Sangma is a Ph.D. holder in Computer Science and Engineering with expertise in machine learning and its applications. His research interests lie in data streams, time series analysis, data mining, and deep learning.

In his current role at UPES, Jerry serves as an Assistant Professor. Prior to joining UPES, he also officiated as a Post Graduate Teacher for Computer Science in Kendriya Vidhaylaya, Shillong.

Jerry's teaching philosophy revolves around imparting acquired knowledge to the next generation and inspiring them to pass it on to future generations. He is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education that equips them with the necessary tools to excel in the field of computer science.

Jerry has taught courses on machine learning, natural language processing, data warehousing, and computer graphics.

Jerry is actively involved with students as an activity coordinator, fostering a supportive and enriching academic environment. Additionally, he takes students under his guidance to assist them with their projects, providing mentorship and support to help them succeed in their research and academic endeavours.
