Dr. Anurag Jain is a highly-motivated and result-oriented professional with a diverse background and a proven track record of success. Equipped with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, he excels in leveraging his expertise to drive organizational growth and exceed objectives. He completed graduation, post-graduation, and doctorate in 2003, 2009, and 2017, respectively. He has done B. Tech. and M. Tech. from Kurukshetra University, whereas he has completed Ph.D. from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, Ambala. He also cleared the GATE exam in 2007. With a passion for continuous learning, he is always ready to take on new challenges. In the last two decades, he has delivered multiple expert talks, conducted workshops, served as an editorial board member of a reputed SCI journal, and been awarded the best faculty member. He has also contributed to various international conferences as a technical program committee member.
Dr. Anurag Jain has been in academia for the last 20 years. Before joining UPES, he served at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, Geeta Institute of Management and Technology, Kanipla, and Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana. As an academician, Dr. Jain has not only fulfilled the teaching responsibilities but also, at the same time, successfully handled other responsibilities like a class counsellor, subject coordinator, lab in-charge, placement in-charge, project mentor, member of the board of studies, paper setter, invigilator, admission cell member, workshop coordinator, various event in-charge, department head, NAAC and NBA team member, member of different committees in the International Conference, etc.
Dr. Jain’s research interests are in the applications of machine learning and deep learning. He has published a total of 60+ research papers, 10+ patents, and one book. Out of 60+ papers, 40+ papers are published in Scopus/SCI-SCIE indexed journals, while 16 papers are presented at international conferences. Till now, 14 M. Tech. students and 4 Ph.D. students have successfully defended their dissertations under his guidance. Currently, he is guiding two students in their Ph.D. work.
In his role as an educator, Dr. Jain’s teaching philosophy revolves around empowering students to develop independence and critical thinking skills, actively participating in their educational journey. He firmly believes that each student possesses distinct strengths, talents, and untapped potential, and it is the duty of an educator to establish an inclusive and nurturing learning atmosphere, fostering student growth and igniting their enthusiasm for knowledge acquisition. By nurturing their individual strengths and abilities, he aims to empower students to embrace lifelong learning and make a positive impact on their surroundings.
Dr. Jain’s teaching subject range includes a perfect blend of core subjects and specialization subjects. He has a good command of core subjects like Design & Analysis of Algorithms, Data Structure, C, C++, Automata Theory, Compiler Design, Probability & Statistics, DBMS, Discrete Mathematics, and Operating System. Beside these, he also has a good grasp on specialization subjects like Fundamentals of Cloud Computing, Cloud Computing Architecture, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python.
