Dr. Arti Awasthi was awarded Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee, India. She has expertise in developing mathematical models to understand infectious disease dynamics and working for effective strategies for disease control and prevention. She has published several research articles in international journals of repute. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Alabama, USA where she has worked on more complex mathematical models of vector-borne diseases. She has been awarded national fellowships like CSIR-NET, GATE for pursuing research. Besides, she has got the opportunity to work on an IFCAM (Indo-French Centre of Applied Mathematics) funded project on infectious disease modeling.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Awasthi was working in the Department of Mathematics, at the University of Alabama, USA. Before joining the University of Alabama, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
