Neeraj Rathore

With over 15 years of experience in academia, Neeraj specializes in teaching subjects such as Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Web Programming, Data Mining, Python Programming, Data Visualization, and DBMS. He has a strong background in computer science and engineering and holds a Master of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, His research interests include salient object detection over single and multi-focused images under noisy environments. Neeraj has a passion for teaching and believes in creating an interactive and engaging learning environment for students. He has published and presented research papers in reputed journals and conferences.

Before joining UPES in 2022, Neeraj served as an Assistant Professor at DIT University, Dehradun from August 2017 to September 2022. He also has experience as an Assistant Professor at Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun, from September 2012 to May 2017 and at Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Dehradun, from February 2009 to September 2012. He has taught various subjects during these roles and has been actively involved in mentoring students and coordinating academic activities.

Neeraj's research interests revolve around salient object detection over single and multi-focused images under noisy environments. The focus is on developing algorithms and techniques to accurately identify important objects in images, considering factors such as noise and focus levels.

Neeraj believes in creating an interactive and engaging learning environment for students. He emphasizes practical application and real-world examples to help students understand complex concepts. He encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to foster a deep understanding of the subjects being taught.

Neeraj has taught various courses including Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Web Programming, Data Mining, Python Programming, Data Visualization, DBMS, Machine Learning using Python, and more.

Neeraj has received recognition for his contributions to academia, including a Certificate of Appreciation from the Vice-Chairman of Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun.

Neeraj has actively contributed to scholarly activities by publishing research papers in reputable journals and conferences. Some of Neeraj's notable publications include papers on topics such as M-Governance, cloud computing security, smart security and privacy, salient object detection, and face and iris recognition. Neeraj has also authored a book chapter on optimized cloud storage data analysis using machine learning models.
