Dr Kaustav Padmapati

Dr. Kaustav Padmapati, School of Modern Media, has been selected for the Cross-Cultural Fellowship 2023 provided by Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA) Germany. The Cross Culture Program (CCP) supports professionals and volunteers from up to 40 countries annually. The fellowship activities include two to three months of work-related stays in host organizations in Germany or CCP partner countries; participants deepen their expertise, establish new contacts and acquire intercultural skills. In turn, the host organizations benefit from the expertise, regional knowledge, and networks of the CCP Fellows.

As a recipient of this prestigious fellowship, Dr. Kaustav will join the Gender and Media Studies for South Asia, Institute for African and Asian Studies, Humboldt University as a visiting CCP Fellow from 22 May 2023 to 12 August 2023. During the fellowship, he will engage in research and academic work at the Humboldt University of Berlin and attend gender and media-related workshops.
